Alternative water sources weighed for Dallas County

The proposed Lake Fastrill reservoir on the Neches River isn't entirely dead as a result of a federal judge's ruling. But, the proposal's future is in serious question, prompting Dallas water planners to turn to a list of alternative plans that were drawn up in 2005 with the Fastrill idea.

During his tenure at UNT, Neil Slater not only ran the Jazz Studies dDivision, but directed the One O’Clock Lab Band (named after its rehearsal time), was instrumental in founding a jazz masters program and received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship grant.
